Using Daycell
Daycell is free to use with no time limit. You own everything you write. By using the app you agree to these terms.
Your data is your responsibility
Daycell keeps your journal on your device, never on our servers, so we can’t restore lost entries. Keep backups of your .md file. Browsers (Safari in particular) can clear stored data; download or eject your journal regularly.
Daycell Pro
- Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks extra features in the web version. It is not a subscription.
- A licence key works on up to 5 devices at once. You can free a device from the app’s file panel.
- The licence is for you personally. Please don’t share or resell keys.
- We may add, change or improve Pro features over time. Features you paid for won’t be taken away from a version you already use.
- Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record; their terms also apply to the purchase.
Refunds
If Pro isn’t right for you, email hello@daycell.app within 14 days of buying for a full refund, no questions asked. After a refund the licence key stops working and Pro features switch off; your journals are untouched. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
Source code
The source code is public under the Functional Source License (FSL-1.1-MIT). You may read, run and modify it for any purpose except offering a competing product. Each version becomes available under the MIT licence two years after its release.
No warranty
Daycell is provided as it is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can’t promise it will be free of bugs or always available, and to the extent the law allows we aren’t liable for lost data or indirect losses.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
